How do I remove Gorilla Glue? Well this will be fun. I like fixing things and, true to form, I bought a guitar that someone tried to repair with the brown urethane Gorilla Glue. As I explained to the first owner this type of glue is exceptionally good at seeking out moisture and foams up to pull it from the air. So I'm expecting to need a lot of patience to clear and remove the residue. I will have to deal with it as it encompasses the neck and the resonance port. It's made by Ovation.
Are there any fluids other than water (soap) that can aid in softening the residue as it is worked away from the surfaces. And then polished off the final cut?

Acetone will dissolve it and take it off.
It's always wise to test on a non critical area but clean up is recommended to use mineral spirits or paint thinner. Myself I'm thinking soap and water, scraping with a plastic scraper, and first put tape down on the surfaces to protect as much as possibilities even sand paper can be used carefully on the residue. This glue is water proof.
Post back a photo when you get it done! Hopefully you can save it!
I would be concerned using acetone if the guitar has a lacquer finish, as acetone will all take off the lacquer finish and could potentially make things worse--meaning the glue would be gone, but there would be a white or yellow spot where the lacquer came off too.
If it was me, I would take it to a music/guitar shop and have a pro remove it. If you are very brave, you could try scraping it with a credit card or very dull putty knife, but again, I would be terrified of scratching the finish.
