What are the items made from that you're trying to clean? I like a solution of one part white vinegar to 4 parts water for plastic type surfaces. If its wood, use an orange oil. Depending on how delicate the item is, you can use something slightly abrasive to "sand" it off.

You can use Simple Green, baking soda and water or a diluted vinegar solution.

Totally Awesome Cleaner from the Dollar General took the nicotine off the walls that my grand daughter rented from my sister. My sister thought they had repainted the house. Ive been using this for heavy duty cleaning. I did clean our front porch screen door with this. It is now white instead of beiges yellow.
