At my place of work, we ordered tote bags with our information printed on them. They arrived with the wrong phone number, how can we remove the number? Thank you so much for your help.

If this was the mistake of the printer, take them back. If you made the mistake, then you will need to keep this order. One thing you can do is find a colorful piece of fabric and print the correct phone number on the fabric. You can use a fabric glue to glue it over the other phone number. Otherwise, if a number is easy to change you can try and use a permanent marker and make the correction yourself.

Heat the mistake with your iron right on the vinyl to heat it up.Then spray goo be gone on it, can be bought at walmart. From the front of your tote and inside as well spray your goo.Let the goo sit on it for a few minutes ,then try peeling off your mistake. You will have too heat and spray it will only come off a little at a time.

This is not your responsibility. The printer must redo the order.

I hope you did not pay with cash. You may be required to return the incorrect ones.

It seems this is your company's mistake or you/they would have insisted the printer correct it.
You do not say what type of material (fabric, canvas, plastic?) or what type of theme/design is on your tote bags so it is really difficult to give a very good answer as everyone is assuming they know what type of material is used but in actuality they/we do not. It does seem these are going to be used for advertising or promotion so I feel sure it is crucial to have contact information correct.
If the material is fabric/canvas then it does seem it could be covered (glued) with another piece of fabric but how long will this "fix" last? Will the fabric soon fray or if not glued properly just fall off? If you want to try something like this you might be able to contact a uniform company (one that attaches names/logos to uniforms) and see if they could make you a label with the correct number that could be attached over the wrong number.

The size of the patch would depend on the design on your tote bags and they could either do the "gluing" for you or tell you how/what to use. these labels seem to stay on forever. There are also some companies that make labels for children's uniforms that may be able to help. You should be able to find a local company on Google with your zip code.
If your tote bags are plastic then you may be able use the same type of labels but maybe using a different type of glue -even hot glue will work sometimes.
If the wrong phone number is in a difficult place (or too small print) to cover with a label then you may have to block/black out the wrong number and place your label in a different area.

Depending on the material of the tote, you might be able to stitch over the number or add an applique.

Oh goodness, you should have them fix it free or charge :( If there's a reason you cannot, I'd cover them, not remove it.

Who was at fault with the incorrect phone number? If it was the printer, I'd ask them to fix it.

If it was the person ordering, still call and ask if there is an way to fix it for a small fee?
