Replacing Half of the Roof on a House?

I desperately need my roof repaired. It rains in my house and there is mildew. I am using a tarp now, but am not sure how long that will last. I also have half the money saved. Someone suggested doing half the roof. Is that a good idea?

Sometimes only one half of the roof is in terrible shape. You might solve most of your problems by doing the worst half of the roof. Anyway, I think that half of the roof would be better than doing nothing. You should consult someone who does roof repair in your area. It maybe that there are less expensive products that you can use. Best to get as much done now as you can, before the whole interior of the house is ruined.
