Sauteed Garlic Asparagus

This dish when served over rice pilaf can be a meal alone or a side dish on a holiday meal. Asparagus is wonderfully in season right now. My family loves the different ways I cook it. This is one of my easiest and tastiest.

Ingredients:

Steps:

  1. Using a large glass top skillet; melt the butter on medium-high heat.
  2. Toss the asparagus around to get it coated in the garlic and butter.
  3. Now cover and cook on medium heat for 10-15 minutes. Test for tenderness. If you like a bit of crispness 10 minutes will do, longer if you want it cooked more.
  4. When your rice pilaf is ready, place in a serving bowl and place your asparagus accross the top, for a beautiful presentation and a delicious meal. Enjoy! One of my family's favorites.
