Silver Pasta Necklace

The girlie side of me absolutely adores ribbons and bows. I think they are cute in every way, shape, and form. When I see bowtie pasta, that side of me totally perks up. I think they're so cute, I even dare to wear them! Here is how to make a cute silver necklace from a piece of farfalle pasta.

Total Time: 40 minutes

Yield: 1 necklace

  1. Drill a small hole on both sides of the pasta.
  2. Spray paint the pasta silver. If it doesn't have a built in primer, prime the pasta first, then paint. Allow to dry.
  3. Fold the chain in half to find the midpoint, then divide into 2 using the pliers.
  4. Attach a jump ring to one end of one length of chain.
  5. Loop the jump ring through the hole on the pasta.
  6. Repeat on the other side with the other piece of chain.
  7. To attach the lobster clasp, shove one side of the head of the pliers into the last hoop on a piece of chain. Hook on the clasp, then close the chain hoop back up.
  8. Add a jump ring to the end of the other chain.
  9. Throw it around your neck and clasp on!
