The tension dial on my Brother sewing machine doesn't seem to make a difference with the tension when I turn the dial. Any ideals of what the problem could be?

Normally the tension dial on a sweing machine should not be played with unless you are having some major issues with the thread breaking or the stitching on the machine. If you are trying to adjust the dial and it is not turning at all there is an issue with the spring that controls the tension on the sewing machine.
