The stud earrings with plastic circles.You can transform simple ball stud earrings into original and beautiful stud earrings with a plastic bottle. It is not difficult at all and will cost you nothing at all.


Total Time: 25 Minutes

Yield: Stud earrings about 0.7" in diameter


  • plastic bottle
  • cardboard
  • scissors
  • ruler
  • compass
  • felt-tip pen
  • iron
  • pliers
  • ball stud earrings
  • transparent hot glue


  1. Draw 3 circles of different diameters on the cardboard: 0.75", 0.55", 0.4". Cut out the circles (templates).
  2. Three different circles to use as stencils.
  3. Cut a piece of flat plastic from a plastic bottle.
  4. Trace around the templates and cut out two 0.75" circles, two 0.55" circles and two 0.4" circles.
  5. Three circles cut out of plastic.
  6. Turn on the iron to the highest setting. Using pliers, press the edges of the plastic circle onto the iron for a few seconds until the plastic curves. Do the same for all the plastic circles.
  7. Melting the edges of the plastic circles.

  8. Use an awl to make holes in the center of the curved circles.
  9. Three circles with holes in the middle next to a stud earring.
  10. String three circles of different sizes on each ball stud earring: first the smallest circle, then the middle, then the largest. Fix the last circle in the back with a drop of hot glue.
  11. The stud earrings with plastic circles.
