It appears that people are still buying this clock. I have found an auction site that has sold a large number of these clocks. You need to register on the site in order to see what a person has paid for the clock. Here is the link if you are interested in registering on the site to see the prices people have paid for this clock. www.liveauctioneers.com/.../1968404_051082-sligh-trend-grandfather...

Here is another one that the asking price for the clock is $1750. Here is the link to the listing so you can check this one out. www.liveauctioneers.com/.../1968404_051082-sligh-trend-grandfather...

This grandfather clock still seems to be popular and I have seen a lot of them sold that were once listed online. However, I can't see the selling prices for these items. I tried to find a few that people were trying to sell but I have not found any that are the same style as yours. From what I have seen you can try to list this high around $1700 and go from there. Take the best offer if you are wanting to sell it now.

Grandfather clocks do not generally have the same value as they did even as late as the 90s but they are still selling - just slow sellers - may take months/years to sell especially considering that your location will have a big impact on the final value. Some areas may be in love with grandfather clocks while another area may not give one a second glance. These clocks are generally always listed as 'pick up only' as shipping would be costly and usually only done by stores.

Condition is a major concern and you do not mention if your clock is in good condition and/or if all functions are working properly.

Your clock does not have the 'fancy' top so be sure if you're looking at clocks for comparison prices that you're looking at a comparable style.
I believe your clock was made in the late 80s or early 90s (maybe 1990).
Here are some same or similar style clocks presently listed for sale. You can look at these clocks and hopefully gain information that will help you write a good description for your clock. Just remember, asking prices are just prices a seller would like to receive for their items and only a sold (identical) item shows value as it shows that someone was willing to pay that amount of money.
Using Sold prices for value is tricky as all large sold items will be in different areas than you and that good be good or bad for real value.
This clock the same style as yours and the asking price is $1,095 but has information about the clock.

This one is listed for $1,000 but notice the pick up area. You can place a watch on this one to see if it sells.

This one is listed at $400 - needs repairs:

You can check out recently sold clocks on eBay to see what people are currently paying for similar clocks.

If you wish to sell your clock you may want to consider listing on sites like Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, letgo, offerup, etc. You can start your price higher - maybe $1500 - with best offer considered and local pick up only. If you do not receive any offers you can lower your price.

The little I know about Sligh is they stopped making clocks in the mid 2000s because the market could not longer support them. The trends in furniture were moving away from beauty and grace and toward fast food furniture--like Ikea and other disposable, but functional pieces.

The other posters gave you ranges for their areas or what they are seeing online. I can tell you the last estate sale I went to (pre-COVID) had a stunning grandfather clock for $1000 and it was still there at half off day at $500 and still there in half off the half off at 3 pm, but that is my market in Western PA.

For a piece like this, I would work with a reputable consignment store and get it in a shop priced at whatever your market will bear. This way you don't have people traipsing in your house, they will (hopefully have a way to deliver it to the new owner--and get it to their store) and you can be done with it.

They should also have the industrial bubble wrap and saran needed to wrap this and the heavy moving blankets. These are very fragile pieces--despite their size and weight. The movements are fragile, the glass is usually thin, and so is the wood.

Post back how your sale goes!! Thanks for sharing!
