The completed Valentine's centerpiece.I love decorating bottles. This is a Snapple bottle and a CD which I used to make this Valentine centerpiece. It could also be filled with Valentine candy.

Supplies:

Steps:

  1. Paint bottle with desired color, using two or three coats of paint. Let dry between each coat. Let dry thoroughly. Bake in a 350 degree F oven for 30 minutes so that the paint will stay on the glass.
  2. The recycled glass jar.

    Painting the glass jar black.

  3. Decorate an old CD which will be the "stand" for the bottle. I used red sequins and gold glitter and applied a thin coat of mod podge to the cd and sprinkled the sequins and glitter on top. Let dry.
  4. Adding gems to the CD base.

  5. Mod podge a doily or other items onto the bottle. Let dry. Varnish. Let dry.
  6. Assembling the centerpiece.

  7. Decorate with hot glue gun, adding embellishments. Glue bottle to CD base with strong glue, such as a glue for glass.
  8. Decorative letters on a ribbon.
