Value of a Vintage Cooper Cyclo-vac Lawn Mower

I was wondering if anyone knew some more info about this old Cooper lawn mower. I've read a little bit about them. From what I've read this was one of the first full aluminum blocks that B&S made and it features a 2 speed chain drive self propelled set up.

I'm curious to know if it's worth anything, it still runs and functions correctly.

I love My Tractor Forum to find out about vintage mowers. I did check on there and I did not see yours listed.

In cases like this, you can join the forum and post about your mower. I have found some interesting information about older mowers on this forum.

You can try posting your question on any of these forums but they sometimes kick people off that are only looking for value as these are sites for "collectors' and people who are rebuilding/restoring their 'finds' and need help with how to do it.
Here is another site that you can ask about your mowers but do not ask about value.

Vintage mowers are very difficult to place a current value as even if you found where the same brand mower had sold, another mower would not be in the same condition - and - someone wanting that mower may not come along for months/years. This is especially true with off-brand mowers.

It is very difficult to ship a mower so the biggest factor in current value is where the mower is located.
Some areas may be keen on this type mower where another area would not pick one up if setting by the curb for free.

You can look at the vintage mowers listed on eBay and maybe place a watch on any that look similar to see if it sells. Note the location if pick up only.

Only sold listings really tell anything about current value so check out what people are paying for these mowers. Sold listings on eBay over the past several months.

As to value of your mower..
I would suggest you take several very good pictures and post it on sites like Craigslist, OfferUp, LetGo, Nextdoor, Facebook Groups/Marketplace and start the price at $250.
Place the ad on several sites and reduce the price if no one shows interest in 2 or 3 weeks.
Be sure you list it as pick up only.
