I own an antique sideboard. I can't seem to establish the period and value unless I transport it somewhere. I am trying to find out if that is worth my while. Any expert advice (appraisal)?

You need to know who manufactured it. Look on the back, bottom or inside of a drawer for a marking. This will help you establish the value.
