What Are These Plants?

I have owned these for about a week and one seems to be dying. If anyone knows what these are, please let me know so I can care for them properly.

Your first plant is in the Croton family and is sometimes called Joseph's Coat or petra. It is a little difficult to take care of as you have to pay special attention to watering and lighting.
Very important! This plant is poisonous so keep away from children and pets.

Your second plant is a Sansevieria, or the Mother-in-Law's Tongue / Snake Plant.

It is very easy to care for - it is almost "unkillable".
