My new puppy is 5 months old. I got her at the shelter. Her litter mates were: two black and tan short hair and three dapple short hair. She was the only long hair.
She weighs 25 lbs and has the softest silky, wavy, thick hair. Her tail is straight and long, and the hair is very wavy and swirled around her tail, no feathering yet.
I am thinking Dachshund mix. What do you think mixed with?

I definitely see some dachshund in there. Long-haired--wirehaired, maybe. If anything else, maybe something ilke a border collie or an Australian sheepdog?
