Yes it looks like Grandpa or Grandma may have been siamese or Burmese. This is called a colorpoint coloring, or seal point. If he had long hair, he might be Himalayan, If he had long hair and white feet he may be a Birman. But he is a beautiful cat.

Now that is a huggable kitten! Some Seal Point for sure.

  • I have a Seal Point Siamese and your kitten seems to have a lot of similar points, but you will find there are lots of different versions of what is called a Seal Point. Most Seal Point Siamese have medium length hair and are not considered "long hair" cats.

  • Your kitten is very young and will probably change as he ages so you will have a better idea in a few months.
  • His health in the next few months should be your primary concern as kittens need to see a vet several times during their first year and that is also the time period you will need to decide if your kitten is going to be neutered.
  • Here is a site that has a scheduled of when your kitten should see a vet during their first year.

  • I do not know where you live but a rabies shot is mandatory in most states but you can check here for your state.

  • If you are interested in finding out about your kittens past you can get a DNA test done and it will supply you with a lot of information about your cat.

this cutie looks like he'll grow up to be a long haird cat which would put him in the Himalayan/siamese end of things
