IGA has a proprietary bakery and they ship all their product from their to its retail chains

pretty standard in the big grocery business

That is far from the truth. IGA does not manufacture their own bread. IGA buys Bread from several different companies. It is manufactured at low cost and the cheapest bread they can buy and packaged in IGA packages.

One week they might buy from bimbo. The next week they might buy from flowers and so on and so on. IGA has never had their own bread factory.
