Yum yum salad is a creamy lemon gelatin dessert with pineapple and shredded cheese. It is also known as Hawaiian Jello Salad. This sweet treat often contains nuts or other additives and many fruits can be added or substituted.

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Add pineapple juice, water and marshmallows to hot gelatin. When it starts to thicken, add Miracle Whip, cream cheese, whipped cream and pineapple. When set, cover with lime gelatin, prepared according to directions on package. Top with maraschino cherries.

Heat pineapple and lemon juice and sugar to the point where it will be hot enough to dissolve the gelatin that has been soaked in a small amount of cold water. Let the mixture cool, when it begins to set, add cheese, chopped nuts and whipped cream. Serve on lettuce leaf.

Heat pineapple and sugar to a boil. Soften gelatin in cold water. Add to pineapple mixture. Cool until slightly thickened. Stir occasionally. Add cheese. Fold in whipped cream. Pour into 6 cup mold or layer pan. Chill overnight. Spread mixture of onion, green pepper, celery and salad dressing over top. I prefer to use layer pan. When salad is set, I layer mayonnaise, then diced onion, pepper, celery, a few finely chopped celery leaves and shredded cheddar cheese. Delicious!
