I am about to make a trip from Tennessee to Lexington KY, over to Louisville, up to Indianapolis, IN, across to Peoria and ending in Galesburg. Is anyone familiar with restaurants along the way that sell the Stromboli sub? I ran across a restaurant called Stromboli King that sells the sub, but they are quite a bit out of the way in Evansville, IN. I would appreciate any input from people who live up in those areas. Thanks.

My husband used to live in Jeffersonville IN which is right across the river from Louisville. He says there is a Pizza King there. Evansville is my home town, have eaten many of those Stroms.

Has anyone figured out the recipe for a midwest Stromboli? Let me be clear, at most Italian restaurants a Stromboli is like a pizza folded in half.
