Amos was a 14 year old Bombay. Amos was a rescue, he wandered into my store one chilly day, scared and very hungry. I soon found out he was a beloved pet of an older lady who passed on and her family threw him out in the cold.
Amos was a very fat and happy black kitty who enjoyed snuggling right up to you and wrapping his paws around your neck. He also liked sleeping in the planter shown in the picture that was secured to the front of our deck. His nickname became the "PlanterPuss".
He was an oversized ball of love that charmed many a person who came in contact with him. Our Amos passed away just last Friday (September 16th) and has left a big void in our family. We will always miss our big snuggle buddy and just wanted to share him with others. We know he is charming the angels in heaven right now.By javamom77

So sorry you lost Amos. I have a black cat (one of four) who resembles him a lot. It hurts to lose them; just remember the pleasure he brought you and the good lives you had together. Best wishes to you.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I've been through that myself, many times. He will always be alive in your heart & memories.
It is a mystery to me how anyone could throw away a beloved pet when their owner dies. Bless you for taking dear Amos in and giving him a loving home. My heart aches for you at his loss, but he will live on in your heart forever.
