Last year I had a late tomato which was doing very nicely and just starting to flower and fruit when we got very cold evenings and my tomato top froze. The under side was still green, and we never had more freezing so in early spring I just cut back all of the dead parts and I had wonderful large fruit. The tomato grew over 6' tall and gave over 100 tomatoes!
