I mentioned doing somethiing similar to my Vita Mix group and a member wrote back and said that she'd dig a hole in her garden, lay down the veggies and then cover them up.

Do you leave the peelings on top of the ground?

I've been blending them, finning the pitcher with water and then pouring it on the bermuda grass (or should I say, "straw," as this is winter and it is dormant.

I was told that the potatoes you buy are treated with a chemical so that they will not germinate and that for this reason you should not use potatoes peelings in the garden as this chemical can act on your plants.
