Cheesy Please Tater Tots

Yum as a side dish for breakfast, lunch or dinner ;-)


  • 2 medium potatoes, peeled, shredded and excess moisture squeezed out
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded (If you're like me add another half cup)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • Ad

  • Vegetable oil


Place shredded potatoes in a bowl. Add cheddar cheese, green onions, salt, egg, flour and mix and then heat one inch of oil in a skillet. Once oil is hot (about 375 degrees F.) place rounded teaspoonfuls of mixture into oil. Fry until golden brown, turning once.

Hint: Do a test with one tot first and add a tad more flour to the potato mixture if it doesn't seem thick enough to hold together once dropped in the oil.
