Hi,
The yellowing is more than likely being caused by iron in your water. My inlaws had the same problem. We 'washed' the washing machine with IRON OUT and then used a bit in the wash with whites. It is not the gentliest thing for fabric, so you can't use too much or too often. Hope that helps!

You might try using vinegar.It is a good whitener.

This is what I use, and it works.
1-1/2 cups of DISHWASHER POWDER (cheap stuff)
1-1/2 cups of bleach
Add this to washing machine. Agitate then put in the white clothes.

If possible let set for a few hours, overnight is better. Wash as usual and the will be white again.
