Preparing Child's Meals During Sporting Event Week?

I was wondering if anyone could recommend certain meals that I could prepare for my son the week of a sporting event.

Will he be away from home or is it in town? Does he need all meals plus snacks, or just a certain meal?

If it's a sport where he sweats a lot, make sure to give him a banana to replace lost potassium. I'd stick with whole foods and nothing sugary that will give quick energy and leave him floundering. Just feed him wholesome foods like we're all supposed to eat.

Breakfast: Cooked cereal or whole grain pancakes/waffles with applesauce (instead of syrup). 100% juice to drink.

Lunch: Tuna salad on wholegrain bread with spinach instead of lettuce. Veggie sticks.

Dinner: Grilled chicken breast, baked sweet potato, steamed veggies, romaine lettuce salad.

Snacks: Bananas, raisins, whole juice, gatorade, fruit, veggie sticks.

When my son was in football, they told them to eat lots of pasta. It gives them the energy they need to last.
