Quick Pear Spice Ice Cream
- 2 fresh ripe Bartlett pears, cored and chopped
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar, optional
- 1/4 tsp. ground allspice
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1 qt. vanilla ice cream, softened
Combine pears and lemon juice in a blender or food processor. Add sugar and spices; blend until smooth. Stir in softened ice cream. Pack into container and freeze at least 6 hours before serving. It's important to make sure the container is appropriate size for freezing (all for some expansion). Serves: 8
