Chicken Livers to Reduce Dog Shedding

To minimize my Welsh Corgi's shedding problem, I cook up chicken livers once a week and give her a couple pieces mixed in with her dog food. The liver makes her coat soft and shiny and she hardly sheds at all. It's a miracle!

Good idea. Chicken livers, unlike beef liver is very high in vitamin A. It is possible to overdose a pet on vitamin A, as it is not a water soluble vitamin. I limit my cat to one chicken liver a week.

My vet said feeding chicken livers to my dog is OK but just not very often. Didn't ask him why.
