This beautiful black swallowtail butterfly was stuck on my screen this morning, when I got up and opened the blinds. I went outside and took his picture before rescuing him. Swallowtails are attracted to phlox, milkweed and Queen Anne's lace. I have a lot of blooming phlox in my flower garden right now, so I hope he sticks around for a few more months.
