Ingredients:

  • 2 tubes (8 oz. each) crescent rolls
  • 1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup Italian salad dressing
  • 1 cup chopped broccoli
  • 1 cup chopped carrots
  • 1 cup chopped cucumbers
  • 1 cup chopped tomato

Directions:

Unroll crescent dough and place on an ungreased baking sheet (Pampered Chef brand will make a softer crust), press seams together to form a 15 inch x 12 inch rectangle. Bake at 375 degrees F for 11-13 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely.

Combine the cream cheese and salad dressing; spread over crust to within 1 inch of the edge. With a knife, mark off 20 squares. Fill each square with one vegetable to make a "patchwork" design or the quilt-looking pattern of your choice. Refrigerate or serve immediately. Yield: 20 servings.

Take 1 can crescent rolls, cook flat then let cool. Mix 3/4 cups mayo (Not M. W.), 1 package Hidden Valley Ranch dressing and 1 package softened cream cheese. Spread on crust then sprinkle shredded carrots then 1 bag cauliflower or broccoli wokkly (at Kroger). Top with 8 oz. shredded cheddar cheese. Cover well with foil and cool overnight

I use a large jelly roll pan for a double batch. Enjoy!

I am trying to locate an old recipe for a "veggie pizza" that has a sour cream and horseradish sauce base, rather than the cream cheese and ranch dressing mix base. I used to make this in the '80's.

When I make veggie pizza, I usually make it with crescent rolls and store-made spinach dip.

Ingredients

  • 1 8-oz. can refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 3 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh dill, chopped
  • 2 cups assorted raw vegetables, chopped (broccoli, cauliflower, cucumbers, carrots, cherry tomatoes and squash are good choices).
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Directions

Unroll crescent rolls and do not separate. Place them as a sheet on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes at 375 degrees F. Meanwhile, combine cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic and dill together and blend well. Allow crescent rolls to cool and spread cream cheese mixture over rolls. Top with assorted vegetables and sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Cut into squares and serve. This starter is light and flavorful. Even the kids will like it despite the fact that it has so many good veggies. Just don't tell the kids that it is good for them.

Tip: Use low fat or light cream cheese, sour cream, mayo and cheese.
