Best Cooked Cabbage


  • 1 head cabbage cut into 8 wedges
  • Olive oil
  • Creole season or mixed seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, cut into small pieces


Put each wedge in its own piece of foil. Sprinkle with oil and season. Dot with butter. Wrap tight. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until fork tender.

Tried this for supper tonight but used Caribbean seasoning. Husband thought it was great. Definitely one to add to our favourites.

I have tried this recipe on several occasions.It's very good.Have used various herbs and seasonings as well.Thank you.

Also works great in the microwave,Rub quartered pieces with butter,salt,pepper and put in covered dish or safe sealable bag.6-7 minutes umm good.even had people that said they didn't eat cabbage love it.
