Peanut Butter Apple Dip

A very kid friendly way to serve apples, use up older bananas, and have a healthy snack! It doesn't get easier than this, and is healthier than caramel!

  • about a 1/2 cup of creamy peanut butter or crunchy if you must
  • 1 banana
  • 3-4 Tbsp. honey
  • an apple or two, sectioned, for dipping

Whirl the first three ingredients in a a processor or whip it up with a hand held blender till smooth and creamy. Make any adjustments you'd like, such as, more banana, more honey. What you want is a dip consistency. Maybe you don't have any honey? Try maple syrup! Dip your apples and snack away. Great for school lunches, after school snack, or even for dessert. Liven it up with sprinkles or raisins.

Source: I made this up in desperation for a late night movie munchie! Love it!

Hi Maile, I did the same thing, but used Smuckers SF Caramel Ice cream topping instead of honey. Better for diabetics, and just as tasty.

Honey is really good though. Thumbs up from me. GG Vi

That is very good dip. I've been trying to come up with a good dip. But mine was always to thick. The banana was a good addition, that makes it nice and creamy. That was what mine was missing. I made one addition to yours. My son and I like chocolate. I add about 1 1/2 teaspoons cocoa. It worked. Thank you for sharing.

I like an apple with some peanut butter for breakfast at work. I am going to try this, with and without the chocolate.
