For first layer: Melt butter with cocoa over hot water; add powdered sugar, egg and vanilla. Mix together the crumbs, coconut, and nuts. Add to the first mixture, mix well and press into bottom of 9x13 inch pan. Chill.
For the second layer: Melt butter, add cream vanilla and pudding mix. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add powdered sugar. Blend well and spread over first layer. Chill. Melt a 9 oz. square of chocolate bar and spread over the top. Chill.
For easy cutting, take bars out of the refrigerator for a short time before cutting. Store leftover bars in refrigerator; also may be frozen.
