Cooking Marrows

Tasty use for those marrows (a squash similar to zucchini) that grow to gigantic proportions hidden in the garden!

Ingredients

  • Marrow - peeled and chopped into chunks
  • Ad

  • 1 14 oz can chopped tomatoes
  • 1 can corn or 2 cups frozen
  • garlic clove - chopped
  • 1 package onion soup mix
  • whatever else takes your fancy

Directions

Slow cooker on high for 1 hour then low for 3 hours.

I freeze this and then use it as a base for a casserole.

For example: Add browned ground beef and pre-cooked pasta or cooked cut up chicken breast and pre-cooked rice.
