Every area is different-when to plant anything depends on your planting zone, and also on any micro-climate may exist in your exact location (and that micro-zone can vary from one spot in your garden to another!)

Your best bet for successful planting is to check with your local extension office. You can find yours in the phone book, or by Googling the name of your local university and the words cooperative extension services. You will find so much information on the site! Lots of printables, and everything is specific to your area.

A good plant nursery near you should also be able to help, but the information on the extension service is free, and will help you make good choices once you are ready to buy your plants.
