Cut cookie dough in 1/4 inch slices and arrange in 2 layers on bottom of greased 8-9 inch square pan. Cookies will spread to make 1 layer. Bake 15-20 minutes; until puffy (as per oven temperature on package). Cool slightly, but keep oven on. In small bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar. Add egg and vanilla, beat until smooth. Pour over baked cookie layer and bake 25 minutes longer. Chill. Cut into squares and garnish with pecans or walnut halves, if desired. Makes about 12-16. Very easy!
