Pear Jam

Very different jam recipe! Very good!


  • 4 cup blended pears
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 can pineapple, blended (8oz.)
  • 4 cup sugar
  • 1 box black raspberry gelatin (3oz.)


Cook blended pears 10 minutes; add lemon juice, pineapple and sugar. Cook 15 minutes more. Remove from heat. Add gelatin and cool. Put in freezer containers.


Servings: varies - makes about 8 cups total
Prep Time: 20 Minutes
Cooking Time: 25 Minutes

Since there is gelatin in this recipe, is it possible to "can 'it" as well? Recipe looks great and I have all the ingredients in my pantry and would love to give this jam as gifts. Thank you! :)
