I would not recommend it. Although many people overstate the toxicity of borax by conflating it with boric acid, it is still considered a hazardous substance. It should not be ingested and caution should be taken to avoid skin exposure and inhalation.

Here is some more information about borax:

Borax, also known as sodium borate, sodium tetraborate, or disodium tetraborate, is an important boron compound, a mineral, and a salt of boric acid. Powdered borax is white, consisting of soft colorless crystals that dissolve in water.

A number of closely related minerals or chemical compounds that differ in their crystal water content are referred to as borax, but the word is usually used to refer to the decahydrate. Commercially sold borax is partially dehydrated.

The element boron is essential to normal body functions, like calcium and iodine. You can take a supplement but you should talk to your doctor first.

I don't know the answer. I suspect it is not safe but I wonder why you want to do this? A good person to ask would be your pharmacist.

I just read a recipe to help improve psoriasis and it says to add a pinch of borax. I was wondering the same thing...

No because borax is used in laundry and it is not like flour flour and water makes a dough and borax and water make it like a liquid not a dough
