Cream Cheese Brownies

These are yummy and rich!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup margarine
  • 4 squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Filling:

  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 egg

  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:

Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 9x13 inch pan. Melt margarine and chocolate in saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until melted. Cool.

Beat chocolate mixture, sugar, eggs and vanilla in large mixer bowl on medium speed. Beat in flour and salt on low speed about 30 seconds. Return to medium speed for one minute. Stir in nuts.

Spread half the dough in pan. Spread with cream cheese filling. Gently spread remaining dough over filling. Swirl through dough with a spoon in an over and under motion for a marbled effect. Bake until wooden toothpick comes out clean, about 30-40 minutes.
