Deodorize Toilet With Vinegar

Bronze Post Medal for All Time! 181 Posts

Deodorize your toilet bowl by allowing 3 cups white distilled vinegar to sit in it about 30 minutes before flushing.

To make the toilet bowl sparkle, pour in a cup or more of diluted white distilled vinegar and allow it to sit for several hours or overnight. Scrub well with a toilet brush and flush.

Hi, do you need to take the water out of the toilet bowl first or just add the vinegar?
Thanks for the tip! Linda

This could be quite expensive if you do it often as vinegar these days is not cheap. If I remember correct it's close to $2.50 for about a gallon size.

I'd think bleach would do the job and not take as much of it.

Thanks for a good, inexpensive tip.

Vinegar also cuts hard water deposits. Bleach can be just as expensive and is dangerous to pets & small children.
