Make Napkins Out of an Old Tablecloth

Do you have a tablecloth that is either stained, has a worn spot or a torn spot on it? Well, make several napkins out of it. Just stitch the 4 sides over. Or you could make a smaller tablecloth out of the larger one. Waste not, want not.

This is a great idea! Another great idea is to use old flannel sheets for napkins. Cut them into squares and stitch the 4 sides over. These are good for casual family dinners when you don't care if your napkin is fancy. They are more absorbent than your regular cloth napkin too.

I have found that applicating a flower in fabric or creating a scene, can be used to cover that stain that has refused to disappear with treatment. Actually use your creative embroidery stitches to affix to the cloth. Works as well with napkins.
