Can I freeze squash raw?

The short answer is yes, you can. I freeze zucchini and yellow squash every year. The squash will be watery and soft when thawed, but is still good for casseroles and breads, just drain off the excess water. This year I froze both shredded and cubed squash(es), to use in several of my favorite recipes.
