Leave Straw In Place When Refilling

I love drinking from a straw and I like keeping one in my glass at all times. If the kids come want a drink, it's easier to have them just sip from the straw than taking a chance of them spilling the drink. But when I refilled my drinks, it seems like the ice always clumped up and the straw wouldn't go in my glass.

I started putting the ice in, then the straw and then the drink. When refilling, I just keep the straw in the glass. No more stabbing the straw trying to get it to the bottom, as it's already there.
