What Breed Is My Dog?

I am going to adopt this little lady and I'm just curious what her breed is so I can care for her properly. She has the body and size of a Chihuahua, but her face is like a Boxer.

She's very calm and relaxed, no barking and jumping around and she prefers to be independent while she walks slowly around the room. She's not aggressive at all and she was taken to the Humane Society as a stray so she's extremely nervous, but not the type of nervous that makes her bark or snap at you, she just retreats and gets very scared.

I really hope I can give her the love she deserves so I'm researching all I can to become the best pet parent I can be. I have never liked pets, but she's different; she's special and she touched my heart. I have to do everything perfectly before she arrives and one of those things is to know who she is as much as possible.

Looks like a chihuahua to me. I have a boxer mix and while the markings are similar to a boxer, I really don't think she looks like she has any boxer in her.

PS - We adopted an "independent" personality dog and he was wonderful! My best advice is to enroll in obedience training as soon as you adopt. It will help your new baby bond with you and see you as their leader.

Plus, a well behaved dog is a happy dog (and happy owner), even if the class is just a refresher for you both. Also stay up on your vet appointments and love her plenty and you'll be great!
