This is Crunchy, she is almost 4 months and about 23 lbs. She has German Shepherd coloring, but a curly tail. The rescue said her mother was a Husky/Akita mix, but I can't be sure if that is accurate. Any ideas?

Looks like a German Shepherd to me.
I agree she looks like a German Shepherd to me too. Could be that the mother was the mix and the father was a German Shepherd. Even in the same litter, some pups may look just like the mother and others just like the father.
Yes, I agree with everyone, that is a German Shepherd. Lucky you. We have our fifth GS rescue dog. Best breed ever/
