What Is This House Plant?

What Is This House Plant?I was given this cutting from a coworker who does not know the name of the plant. It has leaves that come to a point, and has red berries. There has been some new growth, but I'm not quite seeing root growth and I'm afraid that it's rotting - it seems slimy.

I would love to know how much water and light it needs, as well as the name of the plant of course. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much.

It could be a spathiphyllum wallisii or an anthurium. In any case you can put a bit less water, like only up to the brown part, and add a piece of wood coal (the type you use for a barbecue) it will keep the water clear and avoid the rotting of the plant.

Hope this helps !
