There are thousands of types of snakes around the world. Identification requires the time of day and date of the picture, specific location such as town and state and any other information to help identify your snake.
I agree with Dinah. How big is it? Nothing to show if it's a juvenile or adult. Where? What state? (north/south?) Doesn't look like a pit viper.
Maybe you should google for something like "native snakes of .. wherever you are from". Many states and provinces have useful information with pictures about their native species on websites.
