Marinated Vidalia Onions
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 4 large Vidalia onions, sliced
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- celery salt, to taste
Combine sugar, vinegar and 2 cups water in large bowl, stirring to dissolve sugar. Separate onion slices into rings. Marinate overnight. Drain onions thoroughly. Add mayonnaise and celery salt, mixing well.
