Asparagus with Junk

I know it's an odd title, but it tastes good.


  • 1 bunch fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 1 cup mayonnaise (I used a little less)
  • Ad
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • enough oil to coat asparagus


Preheat oven to 425 degrees F

Coat asparagus with oil and roast at 425 F for approximately 8 minutes.

Lower temperature to 375 F degrees and using a basting brush, spread mayonnaise over the asparagus; sprinkle with bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese.

Bake until the bread crumbs and cheese are golden brown, about 15 minutes.

Optional: Turn on the broiler for the last few minutes.

Servings: 6
Prep Time: 10 Minutes
Cooking Time: 23-25 Minutes

Source: The original recipe ( said to steam the asparagus but I decided to roast it instead, as other reviewers of the recipe had done.
