Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fresh or frozen thawed haddock or cod fillets
  • 1/2 cup Italian seasoned fine dry bread crumbs (ordinary bread crumbs can be used )
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 3 Tbsp. melted butter

Directions

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Rinse fish and pat dry. Cut fish crosswise in (1-inch) thick slices.

In shallow dish combine bread crumbs, pecans, and pepper. Roll fish pieces in melted butter and then in the bread crumb mixture. Place fish on a lightly greased (15x10x1 inch) baking dish.

Bake 6 minutes or until lightly browned and fish flakes with the fork.

Serve this dish with gratin potatoes and green vegetables.

Super supper.
