Does anyone have a banana upside down cake recipe?
By Faye from Manitoba, Canada
Wouldn't you just butter a pan very well with real butter, put down some brown sugar, slice your bananas and top with any cake batter you liked, most likely yellow cake of some type? Cook as directed?
I do it just like pineapple upside down cake only with bananas instead. Sometimes I add bananas and mandarin oranges along with pineapple for a tropical upside down cake. The bananas taste just like baby food bananas and are awesome!

An easy dessert that's good enough for company.
Melt butter in cake pan, stir in brown sugar. Slice bananas over mixture. Pour white cake batter over and bake according to cake instructions. Serve with whipped cream.

Thank you for this recipe. My son-in-law loves it and it is so easy. I learned many years ago to make a quick cake mix by just adding one regular can of evaporated milk to a 2 layer size cake mix and you don't need the eggs and oil. (11/22/2009)
