Carrot Cake Recipe With Canned Carrots

I am looking for a carrot cake recipe that uses canned pureed carrots. I saw one but I lost it. I want to make it for someone that doesn't like carrot shreds in the cake. Please let me know if someone has the recipe! Many thanks!

Have quite a few cans of carrots and would greatly appreciate a good moist carrot cake recipe to use them up.

hugmehugs: thanks ! I looked for babyfood carrots yesterday while at big lots - but they didn't have any - so i will keep an eye out for them !
K : I usually always have fresh carrots on hand for snacking & your right about fresh vs canned or frozen.
I am also one of those who really doesn't like the carrot shreds in the cake !They have to be really finely shredded or I don't enjoy it.(I am the same way about coconut.)
so,to answer your question :
...if you just are not wanting to take the time to grate the carrots or do you just have some canned carrots you are trying to use up??
I have a food processor so that's no problem & I don't have one single can of carrots in my cupboard!

This sounds interesting. I have canned carrots that someone gave me. My family really doesn't like them so this sounds like a try. I am glad someone ask for this recipe.

Everytime I make a carrot cake I use a box mix, and I add a small can of carrots. I mash them and add to cake mix. I also add the juice from a can of crushed pineapple instead of water, if its short I make it up with water. I put some of the pineapple in the cake mix also. I use the rest in the icing. My mom taught me this, she has done it since I can rememeber.
